This rare, agile breed was created in Peru and comes both with and without hair. Though this breed may be cute, Peruvian Inca Orchid puppies can be quite hard to find.
In the United States, you may not be able to find one, but in Peru, there are lots of Peruvian Inca Orchid breeders. So, if you decide you want one of these ancient dogs, you may have to spend some time and money. The following information will provide you with some tips on how to find Peruvian Inca Orchid puppies for sale.
How Much are Peruvian Inca Orchid Dogs?
Peruvian Inca Orchid puppies for sale can cost between $1,500 to around $4,000. This breed can be very difficult to find as there are not that many breeders out there that are even selling this dog breed.
Now there are some breeders that, of course, charge more for their puppies but make sure you shop around. If you cannot afford this price range, you can also look into adopting a Peruvian Inca Orchid dog.
How Big Do Peruvian Inca Orchids Get?
The Peruvian Inca Orchid breed can be in three different categories which are small, medium, and large. A small Peruvian Inca Orchid can weigh between 8 to 18 pounds, a medium-size one can weigh between 18 to 26 pounds, and a large one can weigh between 27 to 55 pounds.
Are Peruvian Inca Orchid Dogs Hypoallergenic?
Yes, this dog breed is hypoallergenic as it doesn’t have hair that sheds. Instead, these dogs have human-like hair and are great for people who suffer from dog allergies. These dogs can be completely hairless or have small patches of hair.
Where Can I Find a Peruvian Inca Orchid Breeder?
Though the American Kennel Club recognizes this breed, they do not currently have any links to reputable breeders in the United States. However, I have come across some Peruvian Inca Orchid breeders that are still currently breeding and have Peruvian Inca Orchid puppies for sale.
Sally and Sylvia Johnson from Australia operate this kennel. They are a proud member of the Peruvian Inca Orchid Enthusiasts Club, Inc. and dedicate their time to promoting their purebred dogs.
In addition, they publically offer advice to any person who owns a pure or mixed-breed Peruvian Inca Orchid dog. This breeder does have some upcoming litters that are planned. Each puppy comes with a registered pedigree, microchipped, DNA tested, vaccinations, worming, and lifetime support.
Currently, their Peruvian Inca Orchid puppies for sale cost $4,000, and that does not include transport. Again this breeder is willing to ship their dogs overseas, but this will be an additional cost on top of the price of their dog.
If you are truly interested in getting a puppy from this breeder, then you will want to fill out the puppy application. This will let the breeder know more about you, and it will ensure you are a good fit for one of their puppies. Naked Baby’s Coated & Naked
The next breeder I have found started breeding in 2017 and is still currently breeding to this day. This breeder is located in the Cincinnati, Ohio, area and has been around a lot of different animals and dogs.
Currently, the breeder does not have a confirmed breeding, but the best way to get information about that is to contact the breeder. You can contact the breeder through its contact us page, which will send the breeder an email.
There are a lot of pictures of their dogs as well as their past litters on the breeder’s website. This is another great option for a breeder for the Peruvian Inca Orchid dog breed. You can view the breeder here: https://www.nakedbabys.com/
Sunnystone Peruvian Hairless Dogs
This is a Facebook page that someone created to dedicate themselves to the breed’s preservation, education, and furtherance. They do breed their Peruvian Inca Orchids and do sell them occasionally.
You can always write the person running this page and see if they have any contacts they know that they might have who have Peruvian Inca Orchid puppies for sale. To find out more information on upcoming litters and availability, you will have to contact them here: https://www.facebook.com/SunnystonePeruvians/
Is There a Peruvian Inca Orchid Rescue?
As a matter of fact, there is! One of my favorite rescues to recommend is the Bald is Beautiful Rescue. This rescue brings in all types of dogs, especially hairless dogs. They get a lot more Chinese Crested dogs but will sometimes get other hairless dogs like the Peruvian Inca Orchid.
If you truly want to get a Peruvian Inca Orchid from a rescue, then I would check here first, and you can even reach out to the operators at this rescue and see if they have any contacts or know if they will get a Peruvian Inca Orchid that may be in need of a home.
In the end, although Peruvian Inca Orchids make wonderful farm dogs and companions, they are very hard to obtain. There are currently no AKC-recognized breeders in the USA, so anyone in America wanting one will have to have it imported from overseas.
This can not only take time to find, but it will also take a great deal of money to purchase. However, if you can afford it – this is an awesome breed! Definitely check out the breeders above that have Peruvian Inca Orchid puppies for sale.

These prices are outdated. You can’t find a Peruvian Inca Orchid for less than $3,000 USD.

I am prepared to come to Peru to get one. Tell me what to do . . .
I was in Peru in the late 1990’s and brought “Yoda” home with me. She lived 13 years and was a source of delight and companionship and humour. The day she arrived (as a pup of 3 months) she took command of the house and my husband’s 90 lb. bulldog. He was her slave ever after.
There is no other breed to compare!
