A Pooton is a very interesting dog breed that combines the Coton de Tulear and a Poodle together. This will not be a standard Poodle but a miniature or toy version instead.
The Pooton is classified as a designer dog breed, meaning it was made based on the personality and looks that it would create. The Pooton is sometimes often called a Cotondoodle or a Cotonpoo.
If this is your dream dog, then let me help you by referring you to some reputable Pooton breeders. All of the breeders below have Pooton puppies for sale.
How Much Does a Pooton Dog Cost?
Pootons are actually quite affordable compared to other designer mixed dog breeds. You will likely pay between $1,000 to $2,000 for a Pooton puppy. There will be occasions when you will see a breeder with some Pooton puppies for even more than $2,000.
Remember that if you happen to find one in a rescue, it will cost significantly less. You will pay between $300 to $600 for one from a rescue. This does not necessarily mean you will find a puppy.
Where Can I Find a Reputable Pooton Breeder
Are you interested in owning a Pooton puppy? If you said yes, keep reading because we have four reputable Pooton breeders that all have Pooton pupppies for sale below.
Auburn Hill Puppies
The husband and wife team that run this kennel have been around dogs and various animals throughout their whole life. Both of these college sweethearts graduated from Iowa state university. Their home is located by the Mississippi River, around an area where a lot of corn grows.
Their goal with their breeding is to raise dogs that are happy and healthy. They raise a few varieties of doodle breeds and the Pooton. They only ever breed first-generation puppies, which is also known as an F1.
The breeders that raise these dogs go above and beyond by playing, stimulating, and even working with the dog on neurological stimulation. If that still doesn’t convince you of the puppies’ quality, they give a one-year health guarantee on all of their puppies.
The first thing you need to do when you want to adopt a puppy is to fill out a puppy application. This helps the breeder match you with the perfect dog based on what you are looking for. After you get approved with your application, the breeder will have you place a $500 deposit. This gets taken off the total price of the puppy.
This is quite more than breeders typically want for a deposit. After the deposit has been received, you will place on the waiting list and be contacted in the order that the list goes.

Little Joy Pups
Little Joy Pups breeds a few varieties of different small dog breeds such as the Pooton, HavaChons, Bichon Frise, and even some Poodle varieties. This breeder has a true passion for what they do as a breeder. They show all of their dogs and puppies, unconditional love. The goal is to breed dogs with excellent temperaments, health, and standards set by the breed.
Once the puppies have been born, this breeder starts training and early neurological stimulation. This sets your puppy on the right path to become a very sound and intelligent dog. They use training methods from the Monks of New Skete and Cesar Millan.
After you purchase your Pooton puppy, it will come with a health guarantee and full examination from a veterinarian. The breeder also includes a puppy care guide along with a starter pack which will contain some food, a toy, and usually a blanket.
When the breeder posts pictures of the available puppies, that is when you will be able to place a deposit on the specific one you want. The Pooton puppies for sale cannot go home until they reach eight weeks of age.

Winfield Kennel
This kennel is currently being operated by the Bauman family in southern Ontario. They have been operating this kennel for ten happy years now. They have been breeding the Coton De Tulear, English Labs, and some Poodle crossbreeds such as the Pooton.
I am going to be honest when I say their site is quite hard to navigate, especially when trying to find information about the breeder. I do know that they are a licensed breeder and get their license updated yearly.
You have the option of calling to express your interest in owning a dog, or you can email the breeder. They seem to have a few litters each year of their different varieties of dogs. You can check out the website to see what other information you find here: https://winfieldpuppies.wordpress.com/
Teapup
The two owners of Teapup, Dan and Deb, have been actively raising puppies for over thirty years. They know just how difficult it can be to raise puppies, and they have perfected the art.
One of their favorite things is being able to see that child receive a puppy and become overjoyed with complete happiness.
While Dan and Deb still oversee the puppies, they no long deal with potential customers as they are now in their retirement age of life. They do have a wonderful team that helps them with all of the day-to-day operations.
Their Pooton puppies range from $2,500 at a starting point and goes up from there. If you want to read over their website to learn more, you can do that here: https://www.teapup.com/
Pooton Rescue
Unfortunately I cannot find a specific rescue for the Pooton mixed dog breed. Most mixed dog breeds are like this as it can be hard to find one that only rescues Pootons.
The best piece of advice that I can give you if you are sure you want to rescue one is to search through rescues from the parent breeds.
The American Coton Club is a place you can check out to see if they have any Coton de Tulear mixed breeds available for adoption. Of course, rescues like this are non-profit organizations that rely on donations to keep them running.
You can view their current adoptable dogs and see if they have what you are looking for. Again it can be very challenging to find a specific mix like a Pooton puppy from a rescue.
