The Carolina Dog is native to the South Carolina and Georgia areas. It is a breed that has been around for a long time. In history, these dogs have a resemblance to the dogs first seen with the Native Americans.

Are you interested in getting your own Carolina Dog? Let me help you with your search by recommending some reputable breeders who have Carolina Dog puppies for sale.

Carolina Dog Puppies for Sale

How Much do Carolina Dogs Cost?

Thankfully, the Carolina Dog breed is very affordable for many new dog owners. The cost of purchasing a Carolina Dog as a puppy range from $1,000 to $1,500. Keep in mind that every breeder sets their prices differently, but I have found that most are within this range.

You can always shop from a rescue if you are concerned about the price. Rescues tend to be much cheaper than purchasing from a breeder, but you will likely get an older or senior dog. It can be rare to find a puppy in a rescue.

Where Can I Find a Reputable Carolina Dog Breeder?

Have you been searching for your dream Carolina Dog? If so, look no further because below, I have three reputable breeders to share with you.

Carolina Dog

Nature’s Way Carolina Dog

Susan is the breeder at Nature’s Way Carolina Dog. She grew up with dogs, specifically an AKC Rottweiler that was named baby. After baby passed away, she was on the search for a new dog breed and came across the Carolina Dog.

After a long search, Susan found a reputable breeder to get her first few Carolina Dogs puppies for sale from. She has also adopted a few other dogs but has a true passion for the Carolina Dogs. Susan has had successful litters and is still continuing to breed her dogs today.

Puppies go to approved homes only. Homes that believe in the same values of care that should be taken with this dog breed. All of her dogs are currently recognized by the UKC and the AKC as a foundation stock service.

When deciding that you want to go with this breeder, you will need to fill out an application. Once you get approved, you will be able to purchase one of her dogs. Puppies start at $1,000. I am not sure if every dog is $1,000 or if they range in price. You will have to submit a deposit to ensure that you reserve your puppy.

Definity email this breeder and see when the next litter might possibly be. This breeder tends to have a litter every year, so just email the breeder and let her know you are interested. You will also want to fill out that application. You can do that here: http://www.mycarolinadog.com/

Banbury Cross Farm

The breeder here is an expert when it comes to breeding the Carolina dog breed. Bill and jane both run this kennel, and they are located in Aiken, South Carolina. Their dogs are raised to be the best quality dogs around that magazines, and even TV shows have asked these breeders dogs to be in segments.

They price their dogs at $1,000 per dog plus shipping if you choose to have your dog shipped. All dogs get vet checked completely before they go home to their new owners. This breeder only sells their dogs to approved homes that plan on raising their dog with the same ideals as the breeders.

I am not sure when the breeder is planning another litter because their website does not say. The breeder is dedicated to producing high-quality litters, so you may have to wait a while for that perfect litter.

My best advice to you would be to contact the breeder and see when the next litter might be. See if you can get on a waiting list and get notified when the breeder is going to have Carolina Dog puppies for sale. You can also ask all your general questions and concerns that you might have.

Dog Paw Prints

Lynches River Carolina Dog

The final breeder that I would like to share with you runs Lynches River Carolina Dog. Don Anderson is the owner of this breeding operation. This breeder does not raise the dogs in kennels. Instead, all dogs have a large fenced-in area where they can be together and live in their natural habitat that they naturally would.

However, puppies are kept in kennels until they reach a certain level of training and socialization. He prices his Carolina Dog puppies for sale from $800 to $1,000. Their puppies are available in two different locations. Don Anderson is located in Bishopville, South Carolina, and his partner Mark is located in Greensburg, Indiana.

This breeder’s website contains a lot of helpful information about the breed. Unfortunately, there isn’t much information on litters, but I have found that other breeders on our list don’t post that either. So, the only way you will know if the breeder has puppies available is to email them and see when they expect a new litter.

That pretty much sums up this last breeder option. You will find a lot of information about the breed from this breeder. Again, just reach out and contact the breeder and see when puppies may be a possibility. You can do that here: http://lynchesrivercarolinadogs.net/index.html

Carolina Dog Rescue

Carolina Dog Rescue

Rescues have a very important job because they take in dogs with no home and shelter them and rehabilitate them until they can find a new home. They are many rescues all over the country but what I am looking for is a Carolina Dog specific rescue to highlight here.

Saving Carolina Dogs is a rescue that is 100% volunteer-based, and they truly have some great people running it. This is a non-profit rescue that believes in rehoming this breed to a new good home. They work throughout the country and have a lot of volunteer homes throughout the United States.

  1. I have a beautiful Carolina dog male. He’s 1.5 years old. I adopted him at 6 months old so unfortunately was required to have him neutered. He is beautiful and athletic. He has all the traits: stand up ears, fish hook tail, ideal coloring and so intelligent. Would love to find a puppy as a companion for him.
